Hey! My name is Jenny Jaucian (or Jenny J Fitness on social media). I was born and raised in Orange County, CA and currently reside in Los Angeles, CA. I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Group Fitness Instructor, soon-to-be Precision Certified Nutrition Coach, and online entrepreneur. I have dedicated my life’s work to help women embrace their bodies, increase their confidence and happiness, and live a healthy balanced life.
I grew up dancing my entire life and pursued a professional dance career at the age of 18. After graduating from UCLA with a Communications Degree and struggling to make ends meet as a working dancer, I took a part-time job at a dance fitness studio in Los Angeles that ignited my newfound passion of health and fitness.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with Team Beachbody, Tracy Anderson Method, OrangeTheory Fitness, Nike, and Bay Club just to name a few. I fell in love with learning how to optimize my health and well-being, so I began sharing my journey online.
Like most women, I’ve struggled with body image issues, yo-yo dieting, and was 20lbs overweight at one point in my life. From paleo, vegan, IIFYM, to keto, I’ve tried every diet possible to see if it would be “THE” diet that would finally help me become confident and love my body.
I fell in the trap, like most girls do, of focusing on the vanities of looking good. All I wanted was the toned stomach, lean legs, and small arms. I was comparing myself to society’s ideals of perfection and it was damaging to my soul and self-esteem.
After some soul searching, I realized that if I didn’t start changing my mindset about my body, I would have this self-destructing thought process forever! I didn’t want to be in my 60s still picking at my flaws and self-conscious of how I looked.
So, I decided to create a mindset shift.
I stopped trying to be like those perfect posed girls on Instagram who displayed a false perception of reality. I stopped picking at my flaws in the mirror and started telling myself positive affirmations. I stopped using the scale as a way to measure my happiness.
Instead, I started to look at working out and eating right holistically. I started choosing foods that would help me look, feel, and perform my absolute BEST. I started doing workouts that I actually enjoyed, as opposed to slaving myself away to a workout that I dreaded.
I no longer look at fitness or food as punishment for my actions. Five years ago, I would’ve tried to starve myself or workout 2-3x longer in the gym if I ate dessert or had a binge moment.
Now, I am proud to say that I’ve created a HEALTHY relationship with food and working out. It was a lifelong journey to be where I am today and strive to use my story to help other women who deal with the same struggles.
My philosophy is simple: live a healthy, happy, and balanced life. Achieving your goals is about building positive healthy habits that can be maintained long-term. It’s not going from one quick fix diet solution to the other. Rather, it’s about creating a LIFESTYLE that you love and can maintain for the long-term.
Throughout the many years of being in the health and fitness industry, I’ve created online programs, guides, workouts, and challenges to help women become healthier, fitter, stronger, and more confident. My mission is to help women just like me who might feel discouraged, hopeless, and needing a change. I wants to help women #screwthescale and instead, live a confident, healthy, happy, and empowered life!
