Upgraded Guacamole Recipe (Bulletproof, Keto, & Paleo Friendly)

Oh guaccc...how you never disappoint. I mean, you can never go wrong with good ‘ol guacamole, especially when you’re following a ketogenic / lchf / paleo lifestyle, you can top pretty much anything with it to add healthy fats!

 

I came across this awesome Upgraded Guacamole recipe while I was reading Dave Asprey’s book The Bulletproof Diet (I highly recommend it!) and gave it a try!

 

The difference between this *upgraded* guacamole and just regular guacamole is the addition of MCT oil.

 

MCT oil is similar to coconut oil, but packs more of a *PUNCH* for health benefits and brain power! If you’re curious to know more about MCT oil, feel free to check out Dave Asprey’s blog about it because he’s the expert on it, not me!

 

The recipe came out great and was very creamy! I topped it on my salad and cauliflower rice / beef meatballs for dinner, but I’m sure it can virtually go on anything that you desire!

Upgraded Guacamole

 

This is one of my favorite recipes-delicious, creamy guacamole with an extra brain boost from MCT oil that keeps you full longer than regular guacamole.

 

Eat it with cucumber or celery sticks for lunch or on top of a protein of your choice for dinner! I’ve been known to just eat a bowl of it with a spoon.

 

  • 4 large, ripe Hass avocados, peeled
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons CB MT oil (note: coconut oil is not a good substitute here, since  flavor does not go well with avocados)
  • 2 teaspoons or more sea salt (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 to 3 teaspoons apple cider vinegar or lime (to taste)
  • Pinch of ascorbic acid, aka vitamin C powder (optional, prevents browning)

 

Blend everything with a hand blender until it’s very creamy. Stir in chopped cilantro or other herbs of your choice.
