3 Quick Tips to Get Back on Track after Easter

lifestyle Apr 06, 2021

Don’t let a weekend of fun derail your health and fitness goals! Here are 5 quick tips to get back on track after Easter (or any weekend binge-fest!)

Tip #1: Load up on veggies

You don’t need to do a juice detox or cleanse to erase your weekend splurge. Naturally detox the body by simply adding in more vegetables into your diet. Studies show that the more vegetables you eat, the smaller waistline you have.

Some examples include carrots, broccoli, asparagus, green beans, bell peppers, snap peas, cauliflower, and leafy greens like kale, spinach, or lettuce!

Tip#2: Commit to at least 30 minutes of movement a day

More movement throughout the day = more calories burned. If you don’t have time to fit in a workout, find ways to move.

Some ideas include parking at the back end of a parking lot, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, have a “walking meeting,” take a 10 minute stroll around the neighborhood, or do some light stretching before bed. (My 5 Day Jumpstart Plan has 10-minute quickie workouts for even the busiest go-getters.)

Tip#3: Drink at least half of your bodyweight in ounces

Drinking water will help to naturally flush out toxins, keep you hydrated, and even help prevent hunger pangs throughout the day. If you weigh 160lbs, aim to drink at least 80 ounces of water a day. Invest in a reusable BPA-free water bottle to carry around with you wherever you go.

Which tip will you try?
